Simple Laundry Powder
Three ingredients, no mystery. This is the kind of old-fashioned laundry staple our grandparents would recognize.
Ingredients
- 2 cups washing soda
- 2 cups baking soda
- 1 bar Dr. Bronner's Pure-Castile Bar Soap — Baby Unscented, finely grated
Steps
- Grate the bar soap as finely as you can — a box grater works.
- Whisk all three ingredients together in a large bowl until evenly mixed.
- Funnel into a jar with a tight lid.
- Use 1 tablespoon per regular load (HE machines included), 2 for heavily soiled loads.
Storage
Airtight jar in a dry spot; keeps indefinitely. Stir if it settles.
